Aseem , I am so glad you enjoyed reading this book. I love Jane Austen, but there are so many great writers in the world, and everyone has such diverse likes and dislikes... you should read as much as you can, of everything. I personally prefer to read non-fiction now, history and politics. Am reading "Humanity" by Jonathan Glover right now.

kashmir blues is a gr88 fiction . it has 2 much depth in it in every small conversation or scene.it leaves the reader in imagining how it would have been if he or she was there .i really loved it nd still think abt it,the characters nd the plot .i hav read this only fiction of yours real gud 1 . now 1 favour i want from the author to recommend me book which she thinks is inspiring .

Rattling good yarn Umi.
Began reading it Sunday, and by lunch Monday, had put it down. In between, I took the overnight train to Kathgodam, a 3 hour car ride through the mountains, and negotiated a land-swap with a recent neighbour in my mountain village.

Warning about Kashmir Blues: Once you start reading, it’s difficult to put down. I have reached Chapter 9 in one continuous reading and may not be able to sleep till I’ve uncovered the mystery behind the “blues”- the mystery that started in the Prologue.
