So funny how the author focuses on the “sex and drugs” when they are mere accessories. It’s like damning an ensemble for a discreet handbag. It’s there, but on its own it doesn’t distract. Who’s REALLY obsessed with the handbag? Hmmm? Nor is there anything “crude” about your novel. It’s like wine. If your faith forbids you from drinking it, even a little can be distracting. A drop turns into a bottle. As for me, uncork it, and let it pour!
